Who we are…
CADEAU, the French word for gift, is a woman-owned small business located in Dripping Springs, Texas, that curates custom gifts with local + handmade items from the Hill Country and surrounding areas in every package. We hand blend and pour our candles in-house using non-toxic wax + cotton wicks + clean fragrances, free from paraffins + phthalates + carcinogens and other toxins commonly found in other fragrance brands.
Our mission is to make every gift intentional, unique, and heartfelt with items that are meaningful, high quality, and lasting, no matter the occasion or budget.
We believe in shopping small + supporting local + curating with heart.
Amy grew up in West Texas, graduated from the University of Texas, and has loved living in Austin since the mid-2000s. After a short time out of state with her husband, they started a family and moved to Dripping Springs in 2018.
Like many others, Amy’s purpose was challenged throughout the pandemic, and she quit her career to do what brings her the most joy - being present with family and fostering her love language of gifting.
With a deep-rooted belief that gifts should be given with intention, used, enjoyed, and remembered, CADEAU was born. Fast-forward a few months, and the first candle was poured - a passion project near and dear to Amy’s heart.
Having been a fragrance-free home for years due to multiple pediatric hospitalizations and both children being diagnosed with reactive airways disease, Amy set out on a mission to create a product that would make her home smell good without compromising the health of her family. Each scent is formulated, blended, and hand-poured in small batches by Amy herself.
With the help of family, friends, and an incredible community, Amy has founded a company with giving at its core. Her hope is for CADEAU to be known as the place to turn for meaningful gifts, high-quality products, and a sense of unique collaboration so we can make a collective impact and continue to give back in bigger ways each year.
